Ben Zogby
Grew bootstrapped HighStrike from first customer to $8M and a private equity exit, then closed 7- and 8-figure deals for other founders. Based in Boston.

The short version
From wastewater plants to M&A.
I trained as a chemical engineer and spent a year building wastewater plants. On the side I was building HighStrike, a stock trading data platform. It grew from a first customer to $8M in revenue with a team of seven, no outside capital, and in 2023 I sold it to a private equity firm and ran the entire exit myself.
The buyer kept me on to integrate the acquisition and run their pipeline, which put me on the other side of the table: underwriting deals instead of sweating them. Since 2024 I have run Zogby, a solo sell-side advisory where I have won $213M in engagements and closed four 7- and 8-figure deals start to finish.
Most of what I know about deals comes from doing them, first with my own company, then for clients.
Projects and Experience
The path so far
Zogby
zogby.ioSolo sell-side advisory for internet businesses
Solo boutique sell-side advisory for founder-led internet businesses. Won $213M in new listing value since 2024, built on infrastructure I developed to identify, reach, and close engagements with founders directly.
Negotiated and closed four 7- and 8-figure deals for clients start to finish: exit preparation, buyer sourcing and vetting, investment marketing, and definitive agreement execution. Maintain a network of 200+ vetted acquirers, search funds, PE firms, and strategics, representing $800M+ in deployable capital.
Designed and built the Zogby platform myself, including the valuation engine, NDA-gated deal rooms, and CIM production.
Skills
Where I can be useful
Dealmaking & negotiation
High-value contracts, deal structuring, and definitive agreements. I have negotiated exits from both chairs: as the founder selling his own company and as the advisor closing for clients.
Sales leadership
High-stakes environments, long and short cycles. From cold outreach that became a 200+ acquirer network to sell-side processes that run for months.
GTM & growth
Go-to-market strategy, product development, and marketing leadership with full CAC, LTV, budget, and P&L ownership. Learned by owning every number at HighStrike.
Operations & teams
Startup operations, team leadership, and systems building in fully remote settings, with ownership of the outcomes.
Education
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
B.S. Chemical Engineering, 2018. Graduated with a 3.84 GPA.
Beyond the work
D3 NCAA wrestler at 125 lbs and team captain, now in his 5th year as an assistant wrestling coach at WPI. Plays chess around a 2200 rating. Still an engineer at heart: this site is built and maintained by me.
